In reality, there are three (3) major areas of the Internet to differentiate between: the Surface Web, the Deep Web, and the Dark Web. If one of the levels is blank, then you don’t consistently listen to any artists in that level of popularity or obscurity - so if you want to fill up your iceberg, try discovering some new artists. The submerged part, in the amount of about its 90, represents the so called Deep Web. When on the topic of the Dark Web, the Deep Web may be thrown in or used interchangeably, but the two different Internet layers vary quite a bit, especially with regards to content. By contrast, names like Chicken Shack or Anteloper will show up closer to the bottom. Say you listen to a lot of Taylor Swift, her name will appear at the top iceberg level since she’s one of the biggest stars out there. Those artists are then ranked by popularity or obscurity, and slotted into their corresponding iceberg ‘level’.
